The latest 7.1-magnitude earthquake near Ridgecrest, California, comes a day after a 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck the area. That temblor has produced more than 1,400 aftershocks, scientists said.BREAKING: #California has now had 17 felt earthquakes in the past 36 hours, according to the #EMSC.

The 7.1 magnitude earthquake hit Friday night about 11 miles from Ridgecrest, the town in Kern County which was very close to the epicenter of the magnitude 6.4 quake felt on Thursday. Emergency officials and local residents in Ridgecrest are now left cleaning up the damage from both temblors (bottom right left and right) The quake, which sparked fires, cracked buildings and interrupted sports games, was felt hundreds of miles away in Las Vegas and downtown Los Angeles as a rolling motion that seemed to last at least a half-minute. Two news anchors for the local CBS affiliate in Los Angeles – Juan Fernandez and Sara Donchey – were filmed live on the air as the earthquake hit, sending them into a panic (top main). Friday’s quake was the most powerful to hit Southern California since another 7.1 temblor in the same area in 1999. There have already been more than 1,700 aftershocks (mapped in the top inset) recorded in the wake of Thursday’s quake, and aftershocks from the new main quake could occur for years, seismologists have warned.

– The temblor, struck the same desert region as Thursday’s major earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 about 11 miles (18 km) west of Searles Valley at 4:07 a.m
– There had already been more than 80 smaller aftershocks since Thursday’s 6.4 magnitude quake near the city of Ridgecrest
– Only a few injuries were reported, but two houses caught fire from broken gas pipes

First, some background: Stranger Things Season 1 took place in November 1983, in Hawkins, Indiana. Then, the Duffer brothers’ follow-up Stranger Things 2 took the adventure to late October/early November in 1984, and this summer’s third installment is set to take place in July 1985. In other words, the actors are aging along with their characters and the show. For casting director Carmen Cuba, her hunt for brilliant kid actors, which began around April 2015, meant sniffing out talent that could grow into the roles.

Calling all “Stranger Things” fans! Today, we’re going to take a sneak peek behind the scenes of “Stranger Things” to find out how many strict rules the cast had to follow while filming Season Three. It’s old news that actors are made to follow a set of guidelines after being cast into a role. However, some productions have stricter and stranger rules than others.
An earthquake struck Southern California, centered in the Santa Monica Mountains, between Encino and the Westwood section of Los Angeles. KCBS-TV anchor Rick Garcia was on the air when the quake struck and talks about the experience with the “CBS This Morning” co-hosts.
A magnitude 6.4 earthquake rocked Southern California, triggering fires and a hospital evacuation. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was centered near Ridgecrest, an inland Kern County city about 150 miles northeast of Los Angeles. Multiple large aftershocks rolled through the region in the minutes that followed.

Hey Guys! Here’s a new “episode” of this new series. Previously, I was calling it squishy bakeovers……but since this video doesn’t technically have baking in it, I decided to give it a different name. IDK. I’m always struggling what to call these haha.
ANYWAY. It’s another fun(?) kind of “bake with me” type of videos. Where I have no clue what I’m doing and we just laugh at my cluelessness together. I am not the best at baking, but I try and have fun. Try not to get triggered.
Hey guys! Today is another squishy makeover, obviously. I took on a couple really unique ones today. Actually kinda scary….and creepy. Plus one super basic one LOL. Which makeover do you like best?
Also. The Koala issue that I mentioned about my LAST makeover video (this is serious). I really don’t think that squishy was a koala. Koalas have rounded ears (the squishy had long floppy ears aka a BUNNY COSTUME) and vertical noses (that squishy had a very horizontal nose: BEAR). It also had a very pronounced rim around the face (You can see it in the version I showed today, since it’s a COSTUME!) Anddd it was otherwise just plain so i have no idea why most people said it was a koala. But, LET THE DEBATE BEGIN! hahahaha
Hey! Today I am going to do a challenge where I paint squishies or do squishy “makeovers” in 15 minutes. This was really just for fun and because I wanted to do something a little different. Obviously the results are not going to be as polished as usual, but I did surprise myself with how much I was able to accomplish in 15 minutes. I got them painted, decorated and maybe not perfect, but it was fun (in a stressful kind of way lol).

But yes, I am still moving in and settling in my new house (hence posting this a day late), but I was able to find enough time to do a squishy makeover this week as well. A couple of months ago, I started this series called “Squishy Makeovers.” I was using ugly, cheap squishies and then painting them, adding to them and fixing them up however I saw fit. That series became a new favorite on my channel, and I decided to allow subscribers to participate by donating their own ugly, used, broken or unwanted squishies. At the time, I had a much smaller audience, but quickly my channel grew and I became overwhelmed with tons of squishy packages. I am still working on catching up with all the packages I have received in the last few months. I have spent 4 entire videos unboxing squishy donations, and this is the biggest batch so far. Everyone comments on these videos, which squishies they want to see in the makeover videos (4 candidates), and I give the most popular requests a makeover in the next makeover video (every other Friday). These pacakages are donation only, from people who no longer want the squishies or are just interested in seeing them on camera. The squishies are not returned to the sender after the makeovers.
