Coronavirus outbreak: 13 new cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba, deaths remain at 4 | FULL

Dr. Brent Roussin, Manitoba’s chief provincial public health officer, and Lanette Siragusa, chief nursing officer for Manitoba Shared Health held the daily coronavirus briefing on Saturday.

Dr. Roussin announced 13 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 243.

The number of deaths remains at four.

Dr. Roussin said that eight individuals are hospitalized, five of them in intensive care as of Saturday morning.

He also said that the province is listing 96 individuals as recovered, leaving 143 as currently active cases.

Over 16,000 COVID-19 tests have been performed so far in Manitoba.
