Coronavirus outbreak: Federal ministers and health officials update Canadians on COVID-19 response
Federal ministers and public health officials provided an update on the government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic on Wednesday morning.
Minister Duclos opened the briefing by paying respects to the victims of last week's tragic CAF helicopter crash. The 6 crew members will be honoured with a repatriation ceremony on Wednesday at CFB Trenton.
Canada has now reported over 4,000 deaths linked to the novel coronavirus, including 1,274 new cases.
Dr. Theresa Tam said that this is mental health week in Canada and it takes on a special meaning at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
