Speaking in the House of Commons on Saturday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called on Canadians to fight for "every inch of ground" in the struggle to contain COVID-19.
Trudeau evoked memories of Canada's military struggles in generations past, before warning Canadians of this generation that in today's war against COVID-19, the front lines are now "everywhere."
Trudeau also praised the achievements of the so-called "greatest generation" in the two World Wars, saying the struggle facing modern Canada in the form of COVID-19 was so dire because it represented the greatest danger to this group.
