Toronto Mayor John Tory will be joined by Toronto’s medical officer of health Dr. Eileen de Villa and Toronto Fire Chief Matthew Pegg to provide an update on Toronto's COVID-19 cases and City's response to the pandemic on Wednesday.

Tory announced on Tuesday the city has been able to co-ordinate free temporary internet access for many vulnerable Torontonians during the pandemic, including residents in lower-income neighbourhoods, seniors in long-term care homes and clients in many city-operated shelters in partnership with technology and telecommunication companies.

The city reported a total of 5,182 COVID-19 cases and 305 deaths as of Tuesday.
