New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs and the province's chief medical officer of health Dr. Jennifer Russell are expected to provide an update on the province's case of COVID-19 and will discuss the government's ongoing response to the pandemic.

The premier confirmed one new case of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 123.

He said the three recent confirmed cases in Zone 5 are still active and are contacts of one case of a health-care worker who travelled to Quebec and did not self-isolate upon return to New Brunswick.

Zone 5, which includes the Campbellton-Dalhousie Region, will revert to the Orange Level of reopening until further notice, the premier said.
