Quebec Premier François Legault held a media briefing on Friday after his visit to one of the province's COVID-19 hot spots, the city of Joliette.

Legault announced that personal-care services can start re-opening in the Greater Montreal area as of June 15.

The list of services range from hair and beauty salons, skin care, hair removal, barbers, hairdressers, nail salons and other services.

Premier Legault said in his announcement that not everyone is lucky to have a wife with so many skills like his wife to cut his hair.

The same personal care services in the announcement are set to re-open on June 1 in the rest of the province, among other services.

This announcement comes as Quebec topped 50,000 COVID-19 cases and over 4,000 deaths on Friday.
