The Western Cape remains the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak in South Africa. It's currently recording the highest number of infections and deaths. Premier Alan Winde on Thursday gave a media update on the province. Community transmission is well established and numbers are expected to increase as the virus continues to spread.
