The United Nations is warning that the world is facing multiple famines of "biblical proportions".
It predicts that in just a matter of months, the coronavirus pandemic will push an additional 130 million people to the brink of starvation. It's a grim scenario as COVID-19 cases globally pass the two and a half million mark, with almost 180 000 deaths and more than 700 000 recoveries.
This means that active cases worldwide are at about 1.7 million.
