The Last of Us Part II - PlayStation 4 Ellie EditionI am so terribly glad that I managed to get the Ellie Edition pre-order when it was first announced last year. Since then a lot has happened regarding the release (and, well, the world) but everything with my purchase was okay.
The Ellie Edition is the most beautiful collectors edition that Ive seen. Well crafted and worth the price if you, like me, fell in love with this story years ago and has an emotional bond with these characters.
I will not comment on the game itself right now to avoid giving spoilers to anyone reading reviews. But let me say this, dont listen to the bigots that have been criticizing this game since the first trailer with Ellie and Dina was released.
These people are biased and hateful, and they never had the intention to be anything else towards this game and Naughty Dog.
This is a rare game that transcends the medium into something different. Im so upset this game got used as a mouthpiece for a political statement. Naughty Dog poured their life and soul into this game and it shows.
Its the little details that make this game so special. Walked up with my shotgun out (in the game) and pushed the barrel against this ancient infected that had grown into the wall.
When you pressed the barrel of the gun against it, it started breaking off chunks... His chest, completely calcified. The front of his face falls away and you can see this giant cordyceps tentacle routed directly into his brain stem.
I sat there for like 10 minutes just in awe. Im sure most people dont walk around poking their barrel into things. This game will leave you in awe throughout the entire game.
These people just know how to make a masterpiece. I would place them at the same level as Rockstar or CDPR. If youve played the first game, buying this should be a knee jerk reaction.
Only game in my life Ive played more than once, played the first game 4 times. Naughty Dog creates art through video games. Last Of Us Part II is their masterpiece.
