UNDISPUTED | Skip Bayless on Brady said he was chasing Michael Jordan after 3rd Super Bowl win

The 2021 NFL season is nearly here as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers kick off their title defense against the Dallas Cowboys.

At this time last season, fans weren’t sure what to expect from the Buccaneers. The team recently added longtime New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in free agency, but expectations remained conservative.

A few months later, Brady carried the Buccaneers on an incredible winning streak that saw the team blow out the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. The victory gave Brady his seventh Super Bowl title.

In the process, he finally passed the player he had been chasing all this time. According to a piece from Jeff Howe, Brady never wanted to take down Joe Montana’s record of four Super Bowls.

Instead, he was chasing Michael Jordan’s impressive mark of six titles with the Chicago Bulls.

Well, Brady accomplished that feat last season and established himself as the greatest football player of all time – without debate.

Patrick Mahomes might have had a chance if he took down Tom Brady and won his second Super Bowl last year. However, now he’d have to win at least six more Super Bowl titles to even be in the conversation.

Brady will go for No. 8 this season. He and the Buccaneers host the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL’s season-opener on Thursday night.
