# 11 They All have Favorite 80’s Movies
Since all the kids were told to watch classic 80’s films, they all obviously have their favorite now. For Gaten and Noah it’s The Goonies and for Caleb its Stand by Me. Millie was told that Eleven was supposed to act a lot like E.T. so she has grown really fond of that movie.

# 10 They’re All Really Friends
The iconic kid actors from Stranger Things seem to have an incredible bond and chemistry that can’t be scripted. Before the official filming started on the show, the kids in the main cast created a group text for everyone to bond in. They all named that group chat “Stranger Texts”. Besides their chemistry on the show, it’s easy to tell that they are friends from their constant jokes during interviews.

# 9 Gaten Matarazzo Couldn’t Provide ADR
ADR is a technique in film and TV that stands for additional dialogue recording. This is when actors come in after the main shoots to dub in more dialogue if the editors think the scene needs more clarity. However, Gaten Matarazzo couldn’t provide any additional dialogue for Dustin as his voice changed dramatically with puberty.

# 8 Millie Didn’t Know Eleven was Bald
Throughout the audition process, many actors are given scripts that reveal very little about the plot of what they’re auditioning for. Millie didn’t realize that the character she was vying to play was actually Eleven, who was shaved bald. At the final audition when they were told that Millie would have to go bald, both she and her parents were reasonably unsure. However, after being shown pictures of Natalie Portman in V for Vendetta and Charlize Theron in Mad Max: Fury Road, Millie was convinced it was a cool look.

# 7 They Were Pranksters
Millie Bobby Brown and co-star Noah Schnapp were apparently little tricksters. During a Facebook Live, the two admitted that they were prone to pranking the two show runners Matt and Ross Duffer. They once pretended Millie was sick and another time called the costume designer and pretended to be the manager of a wedding venue.

# 6 Actors’ First Kiss
Spoiler alert if you have not yet watched all of Stranger Things! You’ve been warned. Apparently, the kisses in the Snow Ball episode between Millie Brown and Finn Wolfhard and Sadie Sink and Caleb McLaughlin’s the entire cast and crew applauded and cheered. Millie Bobby Brown admitted that she was very embarrassed and that the cheering made the whole ordeal so much worse. However, the show’s creators have come under fire as some of the child actors say they felt pressured to film the kissing scene.

# 5 They Can Sing
Millie Brown isn’t the only Stranger Things kid who’s got some serious singing chops. While Millie is an amateur singer, Gaten Matarazzo’s previous acting credits include Broadway productions of Les Miserables and Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Apparently, the two actors bonded on set by singing and harmonizing when they weren’t filming.

# 4 Millie is a Style Icon
Millie Brown is not only an actress with preternatural skills, but a style icon. She has been seen rocking some seriously stylish outfits on the street and sleek outfits at red carpet events. Many agree that Millie’s style is both on trend and fresh.

# 3 Caleb’s Favorite Game
While Stranger Things famously features the boys playing games like Dungeons & Dragons and Dragon’s Lair, Caleb McLaughlin’s favorite game in real life is actually Grand Theft Auto V. This is no surprise, as both of the games featured in Stranger Things came out about 20 or 30 years before Caleb was born.

# 2 Millie was Really Floating
In that scene where Eleven has to float on water in the kiddie pool, there were actually no special effects involved. Just like in the show, they used practical effects to get Millie/Eleven to appear to float; they just mixed in 1200 pounds of Epsom salt with the water. That’s some pretty crazy measure to have someone float on their back.

# 1 Noah Schnapp Lost his Voice
With the scream-tastic finale of Stranger Things, it’s no surprise that at least one of the actors lost their voice. Noah Schnapp did so much screaming that he actually lost his voice for 3 days after the shoot! The Duffer brothers actually advised Noah not to strain his voice and that they could add in the screaming in post-production, but Noah thought that screaming with no sound felt weird and unnatural and decided to just go for it. That sort of dedication is almost as scary as the monsters from the Upside Down.
