The Allay is the winner of the Minecraft Live mob vote for Minecraft 1.19.

Here is what we knew about the available mob options at the time of the Minecraft mob vote.

✅ The Glare
- A flying mob that dislikes dark areas
- It will fly to dark areas
- It gets grumpy when in an area dark enough for hostile mobs to spawn, alerting the player
- Is moveable by the player
- Will help players light up dark areas

✅ The Allay
- A flying mob that likes music
- A player can give it any item, and it will collect similar nearby items that are lying around
- It keeps the item originally given by the player until the player takes it away
- It will not not break blocks, open containers, or steal from other players
- The drop-off point for collected items may be the player or a noteblock

✅ The Copper Golem
- A player craftable walking golem with a lightning rod on its head
- It will walk to and press random copper buttons (copper button will be a new item)
- It oxidizes over time, becoming a statue when fully oxidized
- Oxidization can be removed with an axe or lightning
- It can be waxed to prevent oxidization
- It can be named, and the name is remembered when it's unoxidized from statue form
