The federal government has suspended shipments of N95 masks from a Montreal-based supplier after about eight million masks made in China failed to meet specifications.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, as well as the country’s chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam, and Minister of Indigenous Services Marc Miller, explained the government’s decision to suspend the shipment of N95 masks.

Trudeau said bluntly that Canada will not be paying for N95 masks which do not meet the required specifications from Public Health Canada. read more
