omg so i think this is my first vegan cooking video lol and it was so fun! i made vegan mac and cheese! making the macaroni and cheese was actually pretty easy and super fun and it tasted really good! not like real mac and cheese, but still really good! i hope you guys love this vegan cooking taste test!

MAC + CHEESE RECIPE . . .
500g macaroni noodles/any other pasta
2 cups diced potatoes
1 cup diced carrots
1/4 cup diced onion
1 1/2 cups nutritional yeast
1 tbsp crushed garlic
1/2 cup of water from the pot that was used to boil the vegetables
1/3 cup plant based milk, I used almond milk
Juice of 1/2 a lemon
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp mustard
3 tsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp siracha
2 tbsp tomato puree, I used double concentrate
Salt + pepper to taste
1tsp all purpose flour
Boil the diced potatoes, carrots + onions in a pan until soft + tender.
Take 1/2 a cup of boiling water from the pan + add in to a blender along with the nutritional yeast, garlic, plant milk, lemon juice + drained vegetables.
Blend until smooth and creamy.
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
Pour 2 cups worth of the cheese sauce into a large pan. Stir + cook on a low heat. You may want to add more of the cheese sauce if you want it creamier.
Add all other ingredients + mix.
Add in the pasta once drained + mix.
Serve with fresh basil + extra nutritional yeast to taste.
Today we’re tasting 6 boxes of vegan mac and cheese! There was a CLEAR winner and a very clear loser (unfortunately).

Hmm VEGAN COMFORT FOOD! Vegan mac and cheese, does it work? does it bang? does it taste like cheese??? Testing out a vegan mac and cheese recipe that is actually decently healthy! With vegan bacon bits.
Recipe
2 cups sweet potatoes
1 small carrot
1 onion
1 cup cashew nuts
1 cup of nutritional yeast or 2 cups if you live for it!
4/5 garlic cloves (roasted) squeeze them out of their little shells once roasted
1/3 cup plant-based milk (add more bit by bit to get the right consistency)
Juice from 1/2 a lemon
1 tbsp miso paste (optional)
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp tomato paste
Salt & Black Pepper
macaroni pasta
macadamia nuts crushed to sprinkle on top with nutritional yeats black pepper and salt (could also add breadcrumbs)
Green onion and Coconut “bacon” to serve

Today’s Edgy Veg episode is another Vegan Taste Test. Candice and James bravely sample Almond Milk Yogurt, Jackfruit BBQ Pulled Pork, Vegan Cream Cheese, Brewdog IPA, Almond Cream Cheese, Chickpeatos, Cold Brew Coffee and more.

They start with Hippie Garden Chips, the crunchy cole slaw flavor. Their initial commments were that it looked like something you would eat on a commune and that it also smelled like mold. After taking a bite James immediately said “No”, which was followed up by Candice saying that it tasted like she was eating the debris of fall. In other words avoid this product because it’s absolutely terrible. They move on to cashew cheese mentioning that it smells great and is fermented with beer. They dip a few crackers in it and find themselves elated with the flavor. Candice even demanded to know where James got it so she could be sure to get more.
