If you’ve ever traveled abroad before, then you’ve had it easier than this man named Baderkhan. He travels with an Iraq passport – the least powerful in the world, ranking 176 out of 176 in the Global Passport Index.
When I posted on social media that I was coming to Iraqi Kurdistan, Baderkhan immediately reached out and offered to host me for 4 days. We’ve had an incredible time together road tripping around his homeland — which I find to be the hidden gem of the Middle East.

Yep, I travelled to what the internet deems the least visited country in the world. The reality is that the statistics behind this are far from perfect. Many of these small countries don’t actually count how many people come visit. So it’s very hard to really tell which country truly has the least visitors. Either way, I went to Tuvalu, which is somewhere in the bottom of the list… and my experience was shocking.
