The UK now has the worst ‘official’ death toll in Europe – but the ‘real’ picture is yet to emerge.

Shock statistics today revealed 29,648 deaths in England and Wales involved coronavirus up to April 24 – higher than Italy’s current total of 29,079.

It comes as then Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, is expected to reveal his ‘road map’ to returning Britain to normality this Sunday.

Rumoured to be included in the plans are a staggered approach to work start times, with offices to be adapted for appropriate social distancing. Such as physical screens and the closure of canteens. read more

British Columbia’s provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix provided an update on the province’s COVID-19 response on Tuesday.

Three more people, all of them residents of long-term care homes, died due to COVID-19 in British Columbia, Henry reported.

She also announced 27 new confirmed cases of the virus, bringing the province’s total to 1,517.
Henry reported one additional long-term care facility outbreak, which brought the number of care homes or assisted living facilities with ongoing active COVID-19 outbreaks to 21. read more
