With the COVID-19 pandemic still in full swing, had to up the ante for his halftime show at Super Bowl LV, which only 25,000 fans were allowed to attend — surrounded by 30,000 cardboard cutouts — in a nearly 66,000-seat stadium. And up the ante he did.  The three-time Grammy winner, 30, dazzled on stage at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on Sunday, February 7, during a break in the NFL championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Over the course of 14 minutes, he took the crowd — and millions of viewers at home — through his music catalog with singles including “The Hills,” “I Feel It Coming” and an orchestral version of the Fifty Shades of Grey song “Earned It.”   (real name Abel Tesfaye) kicked off his high-energy performance with “Starboy” in front of a massive choir in the stands. He wore his signature red sequined jacket over an otherwise all-black outfit. He then took viewers into a gold, mirrored room, surrounded by a group of lookalikes with bandaged heads. Toward the end, he and his backup dancers made their way to the field to “House of Balloons” from his 2011 debut mixtape of the same name. He closed his set with “Blinding Lights” as fireworks went off above the stadium.  In the days leading up to the big gig, the Toronto native revealed that he had used $7 million of his own money to give the audience a halftime show they would never forget.  “We’ve been really focusing on dialing in on the fans at home and making performances a cinematic experience, and we want to do that with the Super Bowl,” he teased in his recent Billboard cover story.  The NFL announced in November 2020 that had signed on to headline the halftime show, following in the footsteps of iconic performers such as Michael Jackson, Prince, , and . He said in a statement at the time that he was “humbled, honored and ecstatic” to be in the same position as the acts “we all [grew] up watching.”  To celebrate the milestone, the chart-topper released a greatest hits-style album titled The Highlights on Friday, February 5, which his team said in a press release offers new listeners “a rich foray into some of the iconic artist’s best and favorite work.” In addition to his biggest solo hits, the compilation includes collaborations with (“Love Me Harder”), (“Pray for Me”) and Daft Punk (“Starboy” and “I Feel It Coming”).   also announced an ambitious 104-date world tour named after his 2020 album, After Hours. It is set to begin in January 2022 and will travel across North America and Europe through November. Tickets go on sale Monday, February 8, at 10 a.m. local time. read more

This video is the upload of a MPEG-TS video of the weeknd halftime show, which was rescaled to 4k keeping the best possible quality, I was curious to upload it because the official video that is on the YouTube channel is seen terrible because apparently the social manager of the NFL uploaded a video file of a really disgusting quality, if it helps them the video will leave it uploaded until they delete it.

We had the incredible job of photographing the pyro at the Super Bowl in Tampa. So of course, I had to do a time lapse of the whole thing to create some additional content. I may start to do more time lapse reels with audio, but for now I’ll just share the raw video. It’s a different view and something only a local would see if they happen to be within view of the stadium.

Miley Cyrus cranked out a sultry salute to health-care heroes ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl 2021. The “Party in the USA” singer, dressed in a black and pink leather cheerleading uniform, was noddin’ her head and movin’ her hips for 7, 500 vaccinated front-line workers at the livestreamed TikTok Tailgate pregame party at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. The fired-up Cyrus, 28, launched into a gyration-filled set, as the masked invitees in attendance — all warriors of the coronavirus pandemic — bopped along. She was joined by ’80s rock icon Billy Idol to perform “Night Crawling, ” their collaboration from her latest album, “Plastic Hearts, ” as well as his famous hit “White Wedding. ” Cyrus later roared a rendition of “Bad Karma” with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Joan Jett, of Bad Reputation” fame. (Yeah, they busted out a few riffs of that 1980 classic, too. )Of course Cyrus didn’t ignore her own modern pop classics including “We Can’t Stop” and “The Climb. ” She delivered raw, emotional performances of both while revealing to her crowd that she’s a total mix of girly “glitter” and “high tolerance for pain. ”The two-hour event — a lead-up to the highly anticipated Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show by chameleonlike The Weeknd — was hosted by multi-hyphenate Steve Harvey and NFL Network reporter MJ Acosta and was also set to include appearances by health-conscious actress Rebel Wilson, country crossover crooner Kane Brown, TikTok star Ajani Huff, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Trace McSorley, actor Adam Devine (“The Righteous Gemstones”) and more. On Thursday, “Wrecking Ball” Cyrus seemingly teased her performance by flaunting her tight, toned bod in a bikini top and briefs — or, perhaps, a cheerleader’s uniform — in a short Instagram clip captioned, “MILEY: FOR THE WIN! ” She also flexed her biceps and prepped her pipes in subsequent posts while trotting on a treadmill. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the game itself — between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — is expected to only admit a maximum of 22, 000 in-person football fans to the venue, which can normally host up to 75, 000. In addition to Cyrus’ gathering, the New England Patriots recently stepped up and offered 76 vaccinated health-care workers an all-expenses-paid trip to the big game.
