11 year old boy tries to figure out how to call his mom using a rotary phone

PaPa lives on! After my Grandfather passed recently I decided to install his old Rotary phone in my sailing vessel as a memory of the time when I was younger and lived in his home using that exact phone daily! however….being the creative individual he taught so much independence to… this just wasn’t enough!

This teenager was confused after her grandmother told her to use a rotary phone to call her parents. As she struggled to understand how to dial, her grandmother shouted at her incredulously.

Who would of thought from a simple Christmas challenge of having all the cousins try and dial a rotary phone that it would go viral and we would be interviewed on Fox 32.

Ellen wanted to give a member of the younger generation a chance at redemption after a previous teen failed at using a rotary phone. She tested a 22-year-old audience member’s knowledge of a boom box, a typewriter, and an old camera and film. Find out if she could even get close to figuring them all out!

“This video was recorded by the father to the children in the video. He had brought home an old rotary phone and thought it would be funny to see if the kids knew how to use it. The children are attempting to figure out how to work the phone and it is not working. At the end of the video that you can hear one of the kids say “You have to pick it up”.”

The internet has made so many things obsolete, like maps, phone books, and rotary phones. Ellen was curious to see how young people would function without the world wide web, so she challenged a 17-year-old to use all three… creating hilarious results.
