What made the concert even more special was the audience of 75,000 vaccinated Florida-based healthcare workers attending the COVID-19 safe soiree in person.”This is my first show in about a year, and I couldn’t imagine a better way to do this than in Tampa, surrounded by healthcare heroes,” she told the audience. Wind and rain dislodge boat trapped on rocks above Niagara Falls for 101 years.
A boat stuck on rocks above Niagara Falls for more than a century has been unmoored by high wind and heavy rains.
Thursday’s harsh weather pushed the vessel away from its rocky perch and closer to the falls on the Canadian side, according to the Niagara Parks Commission.
It’s the first time it’s moved any appreciable distance for more than a century, according to CNN affiliate CBC.
In a video produced by Niagara Parks Commission on Friday, an official, Jim Hill, said the barge, while not currently moving, appears to have “flipped on its side and spun around.”
Friday’s 7.1-magnitude earthquake shook Southern California, sending residents into a panic.
A magnitude 6.4 earthquake rocked Southern California, triggering fires and a hospital evacuation. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was centered near Ridgecrest, an inland Kern County city about 150 miles northeast of Los Angeles. Multiple large aftershocks rolled through the region in the minutes that followed.
