The number of new deaths fell by over 2,000, the smallest increase for a month. Care home deaths are now making up an increasing share of the total number of deaths in the UK.

There are now over 5,000 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the country as the Department of Health (DOH) reported 291 new cases on Tuesday, bringing the country’s total cases to 5,223 as of 4 p.m. of April 14.
