U.S. President Donald Trump and members of the U.S. coronavirus task force provided an update Monday on the administration’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Trump said some areas hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic appear “to have turned the corner” with death rates down “very, very substantially.” He predicted the country would have a “economic resurgence” as states prepared to reopen.
Vice President Mike Pence touted the country’s capacity for testing for COVID-19 saying there is “enough testing capacity today for every state in America to go to phase one.”
