President Donald Trump said Monday he has been taking anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine for over a week to prevent coronavirus infection. Hydroxychloroquine, which has been repeatedly touted by Trump as a potential game-changer in fighting the coronavirus, is also often used by doctors to treat rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. Numerous clinical trials are looking to see if it’s effective in fighting the coronavirus, but it is not a proven treatment yet.

President Trump is touting his administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, boasting about the number of testing kits they’ve provided. State governors say it’s not enough. CBS News correspondent Nikole Killion has the latest on the government’s approach to coronavirus.
