The Note 10 Plus was an interesting release. Mainly due to it being one of two models announced, so this is kind of the actual Note 10, and the announced Note 10 is sort of a Note 10 Lite. Strange. That also resulted in the Note 10 Plus’ starting price to land at $1,100. $150 more than last year’s release. Yikes. The headphone jack is gone, even though Samsung boasted about their own S10 retaining it just a few months ago. Strange. And lastly, there are no groundbreaking features. Just another incremental update. a refinement. And that’s actually okay. Cause this phone is awesome. Pricey, but awesome. It’s just difficult to recommend it at this price when there are other phones, including Samsung’s own S10+ that are hundreds of dollars less. read more

7.1 magnitude earthquake has rattled a desert area of Southern California, US meteorologists say, in the biggest tremor to strike in two decades

A magnitude 5.4 earthquake again rattled the Ridgecrest area and was felt throughout Southern California early Friday morning, less than 24 hours after a magnitude 6.4 quake that struck just a few miles away. Erin Myers reports from Ridgecrest for the KTLA 5 News at 1 on July 5, 2019.

A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck California on Thursday, 113 miles to the northeast of Los Angeles. Power lines were brought down, homes caught fire and stores were left to clean up after products were thrown off shelves. No fatalities were reported, but the area has experienced numerous aftershocks.

Seismologists are warning that large aftershocks could continue in Southern California for days after a 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck the area. CBS Los Angeles reporter Joy Benedict joined CBSN with the latest.
