Lake Suwa is the site of a natural phenomenon known as the “God’s Crossing” (御神渡り, o-miwatari), large cracks that form in the winter across the surface of the frozen lake. A vertical temperature gradient results in ice pressure ridges forming in the surface ice, reaching heights of 30 centimetres (1 ft) or more.[1]

Today I explore what was once used as a ranch line cabin. There’s tons of stuff still inside the one room cabin and outside there’s the old corrals and makeshift barn.
This is a very popular spot for ATV, side by side poker runs and off roaders to visit. It’s a place I’ve seen photo’s of for years but never got the opportunity to get out here and explore it until now!.
