Bangladesh was already struggling with poor medical waste management before the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, it is at risk of being hit hard by what is being called a “sudden onslaught” of single-use medical plastic.
Around 250 tonnes of medical waste was generated by hospitals last month, and sanitation workers often lack the protective gear to keep them safe from COVID-19.

A group of Chinese experts arrived in Djibouti on Sunday to help tackle the COVID-19 pandemic. Upon their arrival, the team held meetings with the country’s President Ismail Omar Guelleh and other officials. The team is composed of 12 experts in the fields of epidemiology and respiration and infectious diseases. They will stay in Djibouti for two weeks. During their stay, they will visit local hospitals, test and isolation centers and share their experience with local medics.

Full disclosure, I have never watched an episode of the good doctor on ABC so I decided to go ahead and start my tv medical drama review off with the first episode ( good doctor 1×01 ) of the series. I was really curious myself to see if the good doctor is a medically accurate show.
