In this video we dive into the uncomfortable, painstaking, and sometimes dangerous makeup prosthetics that actors and actresses have had to deal with. This list of fifteen actors addresses everything from the amount of time it took to get the actors into their makeup looks to the hard, painful realities that some actors had to face when dealing with makeup mishaps. The biggest factor in an uncomfortable makeup and prosthetic application process has got to be the amount of time it takes to transform these actors into their characters. Makeup application time can run from two to ten hours of sitting and waiting for their makeup transformations. The list of actors who had to deal with these challenging circumstances include Jennifer Lawrence, Zoe Saldana, Angelina Jolie, Anne Hathaway, Anya Chalotra, John Rhys-Davies, Jacob Tremblay, Karen Gillan, Ryan Reynolds, Kae Alexander, Halle Berry, Naomi Grossman, Vladimír Furdík, Paul Bettany, and Jim Carrey. All of these actors faced challenges when it came to their makeup applications and their use of prosthetics. From allergic reactions, to long hours waiting to have their makeup completed, to uncomfortable acting conditions, each of these stars dealt with the hardships that come along with the hair and makeup department in Hollywood. Realizing just how much their on-screen makeovers affected them makes it just that much more impressive that all of these actors were able to deliver such great performances. So think twice before you judge their work; it might have been a lot harder than you think!
I remember when I used to do looks for clients, people would always ask me to recreate Kim’s makeup looks. It’s crazy to think that now I’ve created a look on her! To top it off, we created this look using not only her brand new product, but also ‘the girls’ eyeshadow palette from the desixkaty dose of colors collection! It was so much fun filming this video with Kim. I hope you guys love this look!
