It’s been nearly a decade since Tarzan (Alexander Skarsgård), also known as John Clayton III, left Africa to live in Victorian England with his wife Jane. Danger lurks on the horizon as Leon Rom (Christoph Waltz), a treacherous envoy for King Leopold, devises a scheme that lures the couple to the Congo. idk how many people have been watching the mcu from when thor first was released but i thought this film was great. thor has totally come a huge way from his first film and i really love that character development – it makes him a really interesting to watch. i definitely think that the plot for the second thor film was not great and really didn’t improve the overall story of the mcu or thor and jane’s relationship, tho there were some good cinematography moments. it’s a little shame that jane couldn’t have appeared in more stuff earlier on but i’m surprised (in a good way) that marvel actually made the effort to bring natalie portman back in and continue this storyline that in way could have been left after thor ragnarok. she was definitely a strong point for me in the first film and along with loki, was a character that i clearly remember being in that first film. lastly, taika waititi has really changed the colour palette for thor, from the first two being beige and dull, to a fun, vibrant movie and he’s done a great job w that.

Jane Elliott (born May 27, 1933) is an American former third-grade schoolteacher, anti-racism activist, and educator. She is known for her “Blue eyes–Brown eyes” exercise. She first conducted her famous exercise for her class on April 5, 1968, the day after Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. When her local newspaper published compositions that the children had written about the experience, the reactions (both positive and negative) formed the basis for her career as a public speaker against discrimination. Elliott’s classroom exercise was filmed the third time she held it with her 1970 third-graders to become The Eye of the Storm. This in turn inspired a retrospective that reunited the 1970 class members with their teacher fifteen years later in A Class Divided. After leaving her school, Elliott became a diversity educator full-time. She still holds the exercise and gives lectures about its effects all over the U.S. and in several locations overseas.
