Two police officers in Buffalo, New York, have been suspended without pay after they were caught on camera shoving a 75-year-old protester, causing him to fall and knock his head to the ground. Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Friday the local district attorney should investigate the case for potential criminal charges.
Barring that, the governor thinks the officers should be fired. Cuomo said he had spoken with the injured protester and said the graphic video of the encounter made him “sick to my stomach.”
Sergeant Damon Gutzwiller was shot and killed on Saturday afternoon after being ambushed while responding to a call of a suspicious vehicle in Ben Lomond in Santa Cruz County, Sheriff Jim Hart said.

06.06.2020 | 1:30 PM | BEN LOMOND – One deputy was killed and two others were wounded when a suspect later identified as an active-duty Air Force sergeant ambushed them, Saturday evening.
Deputies responded to a call reporting a suspicious vehicle with weapons and bomb-making materials inside near Highway 9 in Ben Lomond around 1:30 PM.
Deputies arriving in the area observed a van matching the suspect vehicle description and followed it to a home where they were ambushed by gunfire and explosives.
Sgt. Damon Gutzwiller was killed and two other officers were wounded near Santa Cruz, California, in what investigators have called an ambush. The suspect started shooting and throwing explosive devices at the officers, who were responding to a call about a suspicious van. The suspect is expected to be charged with first-degree murder.

But on Tuesday afternoon, the STEM schoolās worst fears were realized when eight of its students were shot, one fatally, and two fellow students were being held as suspects.

HERO pupils disarmed two teenagers who stormed a US school last night and opened fire killing one student with a gun hidden inside a guitar case.
Another seven people were left injured before armed cops rushed to the STEM School Highlands Ranch at around 1:50pm local time on Tuesday.
They were met by what was described as an “active and unstable scene” amid fears that as many as three gunmen were on the shooting rampage.
An 18-year-old male student was killed and at least seven other pupils aged as young as 15 were hurt.
A shooting Tuesday afternoon at a school in Colorado left “multiple” victims injured and at least two suspects were in custody, the sheriff’s office said, warning that it was still an “active shooter situation.”
At least two suspects have been taken into custody following the incident that took place at the STEM school, Douglas County Undersheriff Holly Nicholson-Kluth said at a news conference.
Authorities responded at 1:53 p.m. local time for a “call of shots fired in school” at “STEM school off Ridgeline Blvd,” the sheriff’s office tweeted.
One was killed and seven students were hurt in a shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch. The two suspects, both students at the school, are in custody.
