Ontario Premier Doug Ford delivered a statement on Sunday at Queen’s Park in Toronto, imploring people in the province to get tested for COVID-19 and continue to practice social distancing in order to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus.
As well, the premier and city officials in Toronto are condemning the ādangerousā behaviour of people who flooded Trinity Bellwoods park on Saturday afternoon. Officials said this could lead to a surge in COVID-19 cases. Numerous photos shared across social media platforms depict hordes of people lounging in the park, apparently disregarding physical distancing regulations.
