Based off the economies which recovered best after the Spanish Flu and the federal government’s massive stimulus program, Australia “could actually see a roaring twenties reproduced for the 21st century” says the Switzer Report’s Peter Switzer.

Mr Switzer suggested Australia “will move into a 21st century roaring twenties after all of this” party due to the scope of the economic response, and the country’s relatively low national debt.

He told Sky News host Peta Credlin if Australia is able to continue on the current health trajectory which has seen the coronavirus curve flatten “we may get out of jail a lot quicker than other economies”. read more

At least 70 potential treatments are in development, with three at the clinical stage when human trials begin.
Outside China, the US is the only other country undertaking human testing.
America’s top medical expert Anthony Fauci has said a vaccine could be ready within 12 to 18 months.
But health officials elsewhere say it could take even longer, as others warn against rushing the process.

Finance Minister Rishi Sunak said without his COVID-19 economic measures aiding the UK’s businesses during the coronavirus crisis, ‘things would be a lot worse’ for the future of the UK, following the Office for Budget Responsibility’s stark prediction the UK economy will soon collapse.

A THREE-month lockdown could leave two million Brits unemployed and a 35 per cent fall to GDP, experts have predicted.

But as soon as the restrictions are lifted the economy is likely to bounce back, the Office for Budget Responsibility said. read more

An official from the World Health Organization warned the coronavirus could continue to “stalk” humans until a vaccine is created. NYC Council Health Committee chair Mark Levine said in series of tweets Monday morning that the city would soon need to face the “gruesome reality” of temporary burials, and that they would likely take place in trenches for caskets dug in city parks.

Due to the number of dead bodies increasing on a daily basis due to COVID-19, the freezers at OCME facilities in Manhattan and Brooklyn will soon be full, Levine said. read more

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo predicts deaths in his state from COVID-19 will be in the thousands.

“I don’t see how you look at those numbers and conclude anything less than thousands of people will pass away,” Cuomo said during a press conference Sunday.

New York state confirmed Sunday that 965 people have died from COVID-19, a jump of 237 from Saturday.

Cuomo also sought to assure people following U.S. President Donald Trump’s suggestion he may quarantine New York, New Jersey and parts of Connecticut. “I know we feel under attack,” he said, adding that New Yorkers “will make it through.” read more

“final. for now. may be returning, not confirmed.” – 04/26/2011

Hey Guys!
I know it’s been way too long.
I’m very sorry if you guys are upset with me right now for quitting The Real City. But who knows.. maybe I will continue it.. in the future.
But for now.. I gotta “move on”. The real reason for quitting is school and having no time left. I also lost my inspiration and I’m focusing on a new story line for a melody-series (like my nelena-zelena video-series) . read more

It does not refer to the lack of weight under gravity experienced in free fall or orbit, or to balancing the force of gravity with some other force, such as electromagnetism or aerodynamic lift. Anti-gravity is a recurring concept in science fiction, particularly in the context of spacecraft propulsion. Examples are the gravity blocking substance “Cavorite” in H. G. Wells’ The First Men in the Moon and the Spindizzy machines in James Blish’s Cities in Flight. In Newton’s law of universal gravitation, gravity was an external force transmitted by unknown means. In the 20th century, Newton’s model was replaced by general relativity where gravity is not a force but the result of the geometry of spacetime. Under general relativity, anti-gravity is impossible except under contrived circumstances. Quantum physicists have postulated the existence of gravitons, massless elementary particles that transmit gravitational force, but the possibility of creating or destroying these is unclear. “Anti-gravity” is often used colloquially to refer to devices that look as if they reverse gravity even though they operate through other means, such as lifters, which fly in the air by moving air with electromagnetic fields. read more

Anti-gravity is one of those controversial subjects that some say is more in the realm of science fiction than science fact with many physicists saying it’s just not theoretically possible while others are busy trying to find theories that would allow it to be possible.
In this video, we look at some of the things that we thought were anti-gravity but turned out not to be and what could be our nearest discovery with the vailidation of Einstein’s predictions of space and gravity warping. read more

Communities in the Mojave Desert tallied damage and made emergency repairs to cracked roads and broken pipes Friday as aftershocks from Southern California’s largest earthquake in 20 years kept rumbling.

The small town of Ridgecrest, close to the epicenter, assessed damage after several fires and multiple injuries that were blamed on the magnitude 6.4 quake. A shelter drew 28 people overnight, but not all of them slept inside amid the shaking.

“Some people slept outside in tents because they were so nervous,” said Marium Mohiuddin of the American Red Cross. read more
