What were your favorite Super Bowl commercials? We still think that as a brand, Anheuser-Busch/Budweiser is among the GOATs in advertising.. here in 2021, there were some standouts!
We think the top commercial was for Bud Lt. Seltzer Lemonade, tastefully poking fun at the idea that “2020 was a lemon of a year.”
But there were other goods ones in the mix! We loved the Flat Matthew commercial for Doritos 3D and let’s not forget about the State Farm stand-ins commercial, now featuring “Drake from State Farm.”
Despite unprecedented challenges, Super Bowl LV absolutely rocked our worlds. The game, which ended in victory for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was held in Tampa, Florida, so Tom Brady and his crew definitely put some truth behind that whole home-field advantage idea.
While quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs are no doubt disappointed, they played a decent game and, hey, there’s always next year.
Speaking of excellence, The Weeknd absolutely slayed the halftime show. The heavily-hyped performance included a golden hallway sequence that made some viewers nauseous, and his backup dancers raised eyebrows too. The way we see it: The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about. In that sense, the show was a total success.

Super Bowl history was made both on and off the field in 2021.
While the Tampa Bay Buccaneers took care of the Kansas City Chiefs, which earned ring No. 7 for quarterback Tom Brady, Rocket Mortgage triumphantly created a rare footnote to the Big Game.
The historical feat?
It was the first time since 2007 that one brand took the top-two spots in the USA TODAY Ad Meter ratings, an achievement that first occurred way back in 1995 with Pepsi (when a very young Tom Brady was still looking ahead to his college career).
According to the commercial for Flex Tape, it’s so strong it can plug a hole underwater, lift a 45-pound weight and even patch up a boat that has been sawed in half. But is it all just advertising hype? Inside Edition’s Chief Investigative Correspondent Lisa Guerrero bought a boat and cut it in half, just like the commercial, to see if Flex Tape could help it work on the water. A team at Lakeview Marina in New Jersey applied the tape after the boat was cut in half.
