The Baker-Polito Administration today announced that Phase 2 of the Commonwealthās reopening plan will begin on June 8th. Businesses and sectors set to begin opening in Phase II are subject to compliance with all mandatory safety standards.
On May 18, the Administration released a four-phased plan to reopen the economy based on public health data, spending at least three weeks in each phase. Key public health data, such as new cases and hospitalizations, has been closely monitored and seen a significant decline allowing for Phase II to begin on June 8th.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said Saturday that as parts of the state have started reopening, “you’re going to see an increase in the numbers, but you don’t want to see a spike.” Watch his remarks.
More than 300 Indians stranded by the coronavirus lockdown have arrived home on flights from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Passengers arrived in Kerala state on two flights from Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and went into quarantine
