MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have named their newborn son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex beamed as they introduced their “amazing” baby boy to the world.

The new parents appeared tired but ecstatic as they cradled theĀ newborn, with mum Meghan gushing “I have the best two guys in the world”.

And giddy bearded dad Harry, who cradled his son tightly throughout, joked the baby “already has facial hair”.

The royal couple said their son, seventh in line to the British throne, is named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. They have not chosen a grander title for the baby, who is not a prince but could have been named a lord.

UPDATE: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have now revealed that their son is called Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The Queen, The Duke of Windsor and Doria Ragland have all met Archie.

Prince Harry emerged carrying the new baby boy with Meghan by his side. This is the first time they have shown their new baby to the world having taken the decision to not stand on the steps of the Lindo Wing as Kate and Princess Diana had done previously. read more
