Harvard Symposium – Session 5 – Question & Answer

Questions:
1. Directional compression after surgery?
2. Is it time to have a universal definition for LE?
3. Are there any theories as to why breast reconstruction after cancer surgery lessens the possibility of LE?
4. If you start treating patients at the 5-10% increase in size volume measurements, how many of these patients would progress if they didn’t get treatment?

This presentation is part of the inaugural Lymphedema Symposium at
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital. This event was a two day symposium held the 3rd and 4th of November 2017.
