U.S. President Donald Trump and members of the White House coronavirus task force are expected to provide an update Thursday on the administration’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The president had an optimistic tone towards the virus on Wednesday saying that he thinks they’ll be able to have a 4th of July celebration in Washington this year.
When asked about seniors who have been some of the hardest hit by the virus, he replied “we’re taking excellent care of our seniors, other than me” adding “Nobody wants to take care of me.”

The Covid-19 outbreak has spread to dozens of countries globally, with more than 825,300 cases in the United States and at least 45,075 deaths, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.
