Eva de la Caridad Méndez (born March 5, 1974), known professionally as Eva Mendes, is an American actress, model and businesswoman. She began acting in the late 1990s, and after a series of roles in B movies such as Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror (1998) and Urban Legends: Final Cut (2000), she made a career-changing appearance in Training Day (2001). Since then, Mendes has co-starred in films such as All About the Benjamins, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Ghost Rider, We Own the Night, Stuck on You, Hitch, and The Other Guys.

New York now has 73 cases of children presenting with a new pediatric multi-system inflammatory syndrome likely linked to COVID-19 — and at least one child has died of the condition and a second death is under investigation, officials said Friday.
A complication of the coronavirus the state had not even acknowledged a week ago, this new condition is now being seen across the country and is striking newborns and teenagers alike.
At a Westchester County news conference Friday, doctors said some children are not presenting with symptoms until 4 to 6 weeks after exposure to the virus. County officials said a 7-year-old boy died there last week of this new condition, and Gov. Cuomo said a 5-year-old boy in New York City died of it Thursday.
During his daily coronavirus briefing, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says the state is seeing some cases where children affected with coronavirus can become ill with symptoms similar to Kawasaki disease or toxic shock-like syndrome.
