China’s Minister of Science and Technology says the country will share its COVID-19 vaccine with the rest of the world when it’s ready and has passed clinical trials. Wang Zhigang said international cooperation should be strengthened in vaccine development, clinical trials and application. He also said vaccine development should focus on ensuring safety, effectiveness, and accessibility. In this clip, D.L. Scotland and Northern Ireland have both reported no new coronavirus deaths as the UK saw its lowest number of fatalities since March.
Scotland’s announcement on Sunday marks the first time it has seen no Covid-19 deaths since lockdown began back in March.
Northern Ireland has previously seen days with no deaths.
Across the UK, a further 77 people have died after contracting coronavirus, bringing the total number of fatalities to 40,542.
However, there are fears that as lockdown is eased, cases across the UK could rise.

The Baker-Polito Administration today announced that Phase 2 of the Commonwealth’s reopening plan will begin on June 8th. Businesses and sectors set to begin opening in Phase II are subject to compliance with all mandatory safety standards.
On May 18, the Administration released a four-phased plan to reopen the economy based on public health data, spending at least three weeks in each phase. Key public health data, such as new cases and hospitalizations, has been closely monitored and seen a significant decline allowing for Phase II to begin on June 8th.

Every day, thousands of Mexicans crowd Central de Abasto, a massive food market, that is a linchpin of the capital’s food supply, though it sits at the heart of a major hotspot for the coronavirus.

Those infected are from Anglican High School, CHIJ Katong Convent, CHIJ St Theresa’s Convent, Geylang Methodist Secondary School and Hwa Chong Institution. 29 staff members and 100 students who were in contact with them are on leave of absence or home quarantine order. U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a speech after his tour of Puritan Medical Products in Guilford, Maine on Friday.
It was Trump’s latest stop of his tour of companies producing medical equipment amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The president boasted about a May jobs report that added over two and a half million new jobs in the month of May. He added that was the largest single monthly increase in U.S. history.
Trump also said the United States has completed more than 19 million coronavirus tests and that it’s more than every other country in the world combined, according to Trump.
