The Chandigarh administration on Friday lifted containment zone restrictions from EWS colony of Sector 30B, which was among the first areas in the city to be declared as affected pocket on April 22 and later containment zone on May 2. UT adviser Manoj Kumar Parida in his capacity as the chairperson of the state executive committee of the state disaster management authority issued the order with the stipulation that regular screening and monitoring of the area will continue. These orders came into force with immediate effect.
