The Prime Minister’s chief adviser, Dominic Cummings, travelled out of London during the lockdown while ill with coronavirus symptoms. He was questioned by the police after travelling to Durham in an apparent breach of the lockdown rules.

It came as the government announced a new £1,000 fine for anyone arriving in the UK from abroad and failing to self-isolate for 14 days. The new quarantine rule is being introduced from June 8th. Ministers say it will help prevent a second wave of coronavirus infections.

Young and healthy people should be set free to work and get this country back on its feet. Quarentine the old and vulnerable who are targeted by this virus. The government cant tell us that they were wrong about the impact of covid and the severity because if they u-turn now its absolutely over for them(cming from a conservative voter) what a massive cock up.

My experience of covid… worked throughout this lockdown in a customer facing role in west london no mask, no gloves all I have done is wash my hands and keep my hands to myself. Surely if this disease was so deadly I would have contracted it by now.

Joshua King says:
